Before he died he too even said Curly Bill didn't mean to shoot him. Also Fred wasn't a old man. He was 30-31 when he was killed.
This scene really betrays how some men are killers and some are all talk. Wyatt saw it in the eyes of Johnny, when he confronted him in front of the black Jack table, that he was no killer. And Ike saw it in the eyes of Wyatt that he wouldn’t hesitate to kill him.

The funny part isn't the simple fact that he made that joke, but that, in a tense situation his mind, despite being DRUNK, can still be sharp under the stress and the influence. That combination of burden under the situation should have been enough to give anyone tunnel vision and Doc Holiday is cool enough to be sharp with his wit. That's scary and hilarious at the same time.
Well Ike came back and either became a blind man who wants to inseminate women to have new kids or as violent marine in the conquest of Pandora. Two alternative future for Ike.
“MAKE your head into a canoe.” Modern folk would probably say “turn.” I have absolutely no basis for this but my guess is “make” would have been the more common choice in those days.
He ain't bluffing You're not as stupid as you look Ike. 1. He wasn't bluffing. He would've killed Ike in a split second. 2. Even though the situation was tense as hell, he remains cool as a cucumber and 3. My favourite. When eventually he is let of the leash after Morgan dies, the fury is literal hell on earth! "You called down the thunder well now you got it!!!" Is easily one of my favorite lines in cinema

Other than Young Guns, Tombstone has to be my favorite western movie! Most likely one of the best westerns to be produced. Pure gold!!!!
